EMPLOYMENT AND LABOUR LAW

Labour laws are the laws which are established for better employee- employer relation and
are listed under concurrent list. Indian labour law is closely connected to the independence
movement because of poor working conditions so after independence law makers made legal
provisions and enacted them along with some constitutional provisions like article 14, 16,
19(1) ((c), 23-24, 38, 41-43A to improve the working environment and safeguard the interest
of labour force. However, due to lack of legal awareness and colonial era master-slave rigid
mind-set even today many employers tend to dominate, harass, exploit and take undue
advantage of their employee and because of complex legal procedure and low job security
working force knowingly or unknowingly allow their employees to continue their
exploitation. Hence, we at FASTRACK LEGAL SOLUTIONS assist the exploited workforce
to fight for their rights and make our society a better place for employment. There are many
acts enacted by the establishment to regulate employee-employer relation and few of them
are: –

  • THE MINIMUM WAGES ACT,1948
  • FACTORIES ACT,1948
  • MATERNITY BENEFIT (Amendment) AC T, 2017
  • THE SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE (Prevention,
    Prohibition and Redressal) ACT ,2013
  • UNORGANISED WORKER’S SOCIAL SECURITY ACT 2008
